There are many instruments in Assam. We know Bihu is the most important cultural festivals of Assam. The change in seasons, Bihu has celebrated three types...Rongali or Bohag Bihu comes in April, Kongali or Kati Bihu in October and Bhogali or Magh Bihu is celebrated in January.

#### Now I want to tell you some important instrument of Bihu. Which are as under-
1)Dhol, it is a very crucial part of any festival of almost all communities of Assam. The sound of the dhol is awesome. Assamese Bihu is incomplete without Dhol. On different occasions, a different type of dhol used. These like are The Bihu Dhol, Oja Dhol, Dhepa Dhol, Jay Dhol, Bor-Dhol, Kavi Dhol, etc...
2)Pepa, Pepa is one of the most important musical instrument of Assamese Bihu. Generally, it is played by a young Bihuwas. The sound of the Pepa is very nice like heart touching sound. Pepa is known by different names in different communities.
3)Gogona is an instrument held in the mouth to play. Its made of Bambo. According to size, Gogona is named differently such as Lihiri Gogona, Rmdhon Gogona, Xaliki Gogona, etc.
4)Baahi, Bahi is the urgent instrument of Assamese cultural festivals. The Baahi is also known as Muruli, Benu, etc in different parts of Assam.
5)Taal, Taal is a percussion instrument. It is made of bell metal. Different varieties of Taal indigenous folk music of Assam. These varieties of Taal are Known as Jotha, Sengso, Lupi etc..In Assam here and also get many instruments such as Xutuli, Toka-The Bamboo slapstick, Bin, Khol, Nagada, etc.....
